Mistakes
Mistakes happen, and I am only human. But I am also one to learn from them and I am not afraid to share them with you. Over the next few photos I will discuss problems I encountered with my builds and what solutions needed to be done.
This unit was coated with Line-x , but without the premium clear coat, which helps protect the line-x from solar damage and discoloration, as well as give an extra layer of protection against chemicals and power washing. The once white walls, turned yellowish, and the once gray floor, turned an awful looking green. Yet the waterproof protection still held up for 5 years without issue.
Once we corrected it, we decided to try a darker color, as this unit had been built with plywood.
You can tell there is a lot more discoloration in certain areas above, that is due to Power washing on extremely high settings. This line-x would probably have held up way better if we stuck to washing it with a garden hose instead of power washing, and less aggressive cleaning chemicals.
We decided to change the lighting as well when we rebuilt this unit, as it would help open up the roof for a taller groomer.
There is a possibility of line-x peeling off of certain materials. in this case, originally the stainless steel tub was covered with line-x, but over time it started to peel, until eventually it looked like the stainless pieces were never coated.
For the redo, we opted to simply not coat the Stainless steel.

In this picture you can see the damage than can be caused by the fumes from the generator. 5 years of fumes turned the walls from a white to a dark gray yellowish mess. The way to prevent this, is to build the box unit that go over the generator and making sure it's completely sealed on the edges.
The gray line-x really helped cover the damage from the generator fumes.
